Terms of Service
Plain-language terms for using Slidemaker. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If something here is unclear, email support@slidemaker.io.
1. The service
Slidemaker (“Slidemaker”, “we”, “us”) is a web app for designing image carousels for social platforms. It includes a canvas editor, a private reference library, AI text variants, image search, export, and tools for sending slides to your phone. Features may change as the product evolves; we'll tell you ahead of time about changes that take away something you pay for.
Slidemaker makes content. It does not post on your behalf, and we make no promise about views, followers, customers or revenue. What you do with your carousels — and where that takes you — is up to you.
2. Your account
- You sign in with a Google account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to use Slidemaker.
- You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed it.
- One account per person. Don't share or resell access.
3. Subscriptions, trial and payment
Slidemaker is a paid product with a single plan, billed monthly ($9) or yearly ($89), plus optional credit add-ons. Prices exclude any sales tax or VAT, which is added at checkout where required.
- Merchant of record. Payments are processed by Polar, which acts as our reseller and merchant of record. Polar handles your payment details, taxes and invoices, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase. We never see your full card number.
- Free trial. New subscriptions start with a 7-day free trial that requires a payment method. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and you are charged for the first billing period.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. If we change the price, we'll email you at least 14 days before it applies to you.
- Cancelling. Cancel anytime from Settings → Billing → Manage billing. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for; we don't charge you again after that.
- Refunds. Because every plan starts with a free trial, payments are non-refundable, except as described in our Refund Policy.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails and isn't fixed, your subscription ends and you lose access to the app until you subscribe again.
4. Credits
Some actions call paid third-party services and use credits: fetching a TikTok post, a Pinterest search, or turning a video into slides (1 credit each). AI text variants and everything else in the app are included and don't use credits.
- The monthly plan includes 2,000 credits per billing period; the yearly plan includes 24,000 credits for the year; the trial includes 150 credits. Plan credits expire at the end of the period they were granted for and don't roll over.
- Add-on credits ($5 for 500) don't expire while you have an active subscription.
- Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred, and are not refundable except as described in the Refund Policy.
- To keep the service fair and stable, we apply rate limits to some actions, including free ones.
5. Your content
You own what you create and upload: your decks, slides, images and text (“your content”). You give us a limited permission to store, process and display your content only as needed to run Slidemaker for you — for example, saving your decks, rendering exports, generating AI variants, and showing images on a share link you create. We don't use your content to advertise, and we don't sell it.
You're responsible for your content and for having the rights to anything you upload or publish, including images you add from Pinterest or elsewhere. Respect the rules of the platforms you post to.
6. The reference library
The reference library lets you save links and screenshots of public posts for your own study. It's private: references you add are visible only to you and are never shown to other users.
- References are for inspiration and analysis. Make new content from a format — don't republish someone else's post or images as your own.
- Fetched post images are a temporary cached copy, kept for a limited time and linked back to the original post. The original creator keeps all rights to their work.
- If you believe content in Slidemaker infringes your rights, email support@slidemaker.io with the details and we'll act promptly.
7. AI features
AI features (text variants, video-to-slides) are generated by third-party models and may be inaccurate, repetitive or unsuitable. Review AI output before you publish it — you're responsible for what you post.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use Slidemaker to:
- break the law, infringe others' intellectual property, or publish content that is hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or deceptive;
- scrape, script or automate the app beyond normal use, or try to get around credits, rate limits or access controls;
- probe, disrupt or overload our systems, or access another user's data;
- resell, sublicense or offer Slidemaker as part of another service without our written permission.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where we reasonably can, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix things.
9. Third-party services
Slidemaker relies on third parties — such as Google for sign-in, Polar for payments, Telegram for the capture bot, and providers for fetching posts, image search and AI. We aren't responsible for their availability, and if one becomes unavailable, related features may stop working. Using those services is also subject to their own terms.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Account. Deleting it cancels any active subscription immediately and permanently deletes your decks, references and images. This can't be undone. See the Privacy Policy for details.
If we ever shut down Slidemaker, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice so you can export your work, and refund any unused portion of a prepaid yearly plan.
11. Disclaimers
Slidemaker is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we recommend downloading anything you can't afford to lose. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Slidemaker won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by contract.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes, we'll email you or show a notice in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Slidemaker after that means you accept the updated terms; if you don't, you can cancel before they apply.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
